Where it started: a garage door
WalledCare began as a single camera pointed at a garage door — small and specific: watch one thing, tell someone what happened.
That project grew — more cameras, better logic for telling a real event apart from a moving shadow, a proper backend to hold it together. It outgrew its original name, and was eventually rebranded WalledCare.
A second product line, for the rooms cameras can't enter
Camera security is good at watching a driveway or a storefront. It has no place in a bedroom or a bathroom. So we built a different kind of product for those rooms: a plug-in sensor with no lens and no microphone, reporting movement and occupancy without ever capturing an image.
That became WalledCare for eldercare — a device families could put in a parent's bedroom or bathroom without asking them to accept a camera in the room. By mid-2026 it had become our flagship, with camera security continuing as a secondary line of business.
