What the company publishes
Nobi's pitch is that the sensor disappears into a fixture residents already accept. The marketing is confident about outcomes and quiet about mechanism: no sensor technology is named anywhere we looked, and the FAQ is the only page that hints at how detection works, through its references to images and infrared illumination.
That hint matters for privacy-led buyers. A system that can send an image of a person on the floor is not equivalent to a system that cannot produce an image at all, whatever the retention policy. Nobi's own answer is that images are not saved and that only images indicating a possible fall are passed on. A Canadian operator would still need to treat that as personal health information under provincial law, and should ask, in writing, what is captured continuously versus what is transmitted, who can view it, and where it is stored.
